AboutOne API over local rails

Local money in.
Local money out.

Platforms that serve people across borders need two things: a way to take money in the way each customer already pays, and a way to send it out the way each recipient already gets paid. Locals gives you both, with stablecoins in the middle.

Why Locals exists

What Locals is

One API. One contract. Your brand in front.

Banking, conversion and card issuing run through regulated partners in each market. You integrate once with Locals and sign one contract. Your customers only ever see your product.

Principles

How we work.

A few rules we hold ourselves to, so you know what to expect before you sign.

01

Live means live

We only call a market live when your customers can use it today. Everything else is marked as next.

AUD, USD live · EUR, GBP, AED soon
02

One status model

The same statuses and the same webhooks in every market. You build the flow once.

03

Your brand, not ours

Locals works behind your product. Your customers deal with you, not with us.

white-label by default
04

Compliance first

Verification happens before any account, payout or card. We do not trade checks for speed.

05

Plain pricing

You see the price before you commit. A quote shows what you send, what arrives and what it costs.

06

Boring on purpose

Idempotent writes, signed webhooks and a versioned API. Money software should be predictable.

Compliance

Checks first. Money second.

Every customer is verified before money moves, and every payment can be traced back to who sent it. Here is what that means in practice.

KYC and KYB

Individuals are identified and businesses are verified, including who owns and controls them, before anything is opened.

Source of funds controls

Payments are tied to a verified customer and checked against what we know about them. Unusual activity is reviewed.

Allow-listed senders

Where the market requires it, only registered sending accounts can fund an account. Money from any other account is returned to the sender.

Data protection

We collect what verification and the law require, and share it only with the partners that provide the service.

Go local in every market you serve.

Tell us where your customers are. We will tell you what is live, what is next, and how fast you can launch.
